Gulf Consultant’s Participation in the “Make it in the Emirates” Forum
The Gulf Consultant participated in the third edition of the “Make it in the Emirates” forum on May 27-28, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in collaboration with ADNOC and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development. The event provided an ideal platform for networking and exchanging knowledge and expertise among members of the industrial community, both locally and internationally.
The event brought together a distinguished group of decision-makers, senior officials from the public and private sectors, industry experts, entrepreneurs, funding entities, investors, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The aim was to showcase investment opportunities in the national industrial sector. The forum was honored by the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. His Highness toured several pavilions of the participating entities in the exhibition accompanying the forum and stated that the industrial sector is a key pillar in advancing and diversifying the national economy, contributing significantly to localization efforts and enabling Emirati talents to work in modern manufacturing and advanced technology fields.
Gulf Consultant and Industries and Exporters on the Sidelines of the Forum
The Gulf Consultant held several meetings with some industrial companies and exporters on the sidelines of the forum. During these meetings, they discussed the mechanisms and services of the Gulf Consultant to protect national industries from the harmful effects of increasing imports that damage fair competition with local industries and affect industrial investment indicators and sales. They also explored areas of cooperation with these entities.
Additionally, the Gulf Consultant showcased its services to protect exports when national exporters face the imposition of duties or restrictions on their exports abroad. The Gulf Consultant provides exporters with market access strategies through market and price studies, offering insights into the market’s capacity for products, distribution channels, current and potential competitors, and consumer purchasing trends. This information is essential for opening new markets. The Gulf Consultant expressed its readiness, in cooperation with relevant authorities, to provide the necessary support and awareness to the industrial and export communities regarding import protection mechanisms and export access strategies.
