The Gulf Consultant represents gulf Ceramic &porcelain industry against Dumped India and china imports

 

Based on the complaint prepared and submitted by the Gulf  Consultant  on behalf of the Gulf industry affected by dumped imports from India and China, the Permanent Committee for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries issued a decision – based on the recommendation of the Bureau of Technical Secretariat for anti-injurious Practices in International Trade – approving the acceptance of the complaint and initiating the sunset review  investigation against imports of the GCC countries of the product  (ceramic and porcelain tiles) originating or exported from China and India, According the issue No.49 published in the official Gazette in the following link:

It is worth noting that many Gulf industries in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are still suffering from unfair competition with increasing dumped imports from China and India, although these imports had been subject to anti-dumping duties in the past five years. However, economic indicators have shown that Gulf industries have been injured, which necessitated submitting a request to extend the duties to protect these industries from imports that practicing unfair competition with the national product as a result of selling them at low prices compared to the Gulf product.

These indicators and economic data showed a decline in sales, cash flow, profits, etc.) due to the continued injury from imports arriving at very low and dumped prices from both China and India. The Gulf Consultant institution conducted a detailed analysis of the Gulf industry data based on the requirements of both the International Anti-Dumping Agreement of the World Trade Organization and the Unified Gulf Law for Anti-Dumping, and Preventive Measures to determine the extent of the injury suffered by these Gulf industries.
